About Us

The Nursery is situated on the A17 at Long Sutton, don't panic if you miss our entrance as we are between two roundabouts!

We are also attending plant fairs and building up a selection of plants by mail order, many of which we share on our social media.

On the nursery we only use peatfree compost, most of the plants are grown by us and propagated in house, our aim is to propagate all our own peatfree plants.

In 2018 we took over Seagate Irises, a specialist Nursery created in 2000 to offer many hundreds of Iris varieties.

Over the winter of 2019/2020 we made the decision to change the name to Seagate Nurseries to reflect our ever growing variety of choice perennials.

We are a 'young' family run business and are passionate about growing quality plants particularly unusual varieties that aren't seen so often. With this in mind the heart of the nursery remains the collection of bearded Iris. We have also introduced new varieties with a view to offer most by mail order soon. For anyone looking for a particular variety or style please do not hesitate to contact us.

As the Nursery continues to grow each season we will offer more bareroot Iris and some other perennials for sale by  mail order or collection in an effort to reduce the quantity of plastic packaging used such as pots.

We only use peat free compost on the Nursery and hope in time we can become 100% peat free across all our ranges.

Nursery is now closed to the public until March 2025

(Mail order only until then)
